At the top of the range would be a large armchair in Burr Elm, Walnut, Burr Oak or Yew. What a present for the retiring "Chairman" of the Board. A less expensive version is made in Ash or Elm.

I make the lath back with carved centre panels as well as the more traditional flat ones.

I make these with carved centre splats, or with shaped ones showing the beauty of the burr as below

This burr elm chair has a smooth comb or you could have the coronal comb as on the burr oak  Centre splats can be customised,  The example below left shows a carved splat with the addition of a Tudor rose and on the right an family initial has been added.  There is an additional cost for this work to be negotiated when placing your order.
